2006 season. The American Community Theater will be staging EMOTIONAL
BAGGAGE, a series of short plays and one-acts written by contemporary
American writers. The plays explore many themes, including: the unspoken
truths behind the words we say to the people we meet; long-harboured
jealousy; infidelity; dissatisfaction with the ordinariness of life; and the
need for a sense of belonging. Some are satirical, others slapstick, some
light-hearted others tense and gripping. Many of the characters are simply
trying to move on with their lives, yet when the truth comes out, hilarity
