cast of Broadway Express will perform a two act show: Act 1 is a Broadway
tribute revue while the critically acclaimed Act 2 is a parody of Broadway
and West End productions. If you missed the original run in 2006, this
cabaret show is a parody sending up Musical Theatre of all kinds. Productions

Wizard of Oz and
Sound
of Music to
Miss
Saigon and
Momma
Mia!, are
hilariously re-envisioned in ways you have not seen before. Since
reviving both shows in 2006 as an evening of Musical Theatre experience, the
American Community Theater has performed to very enthusiastic audiences at
the Fringe Club, the Wanchai Music Festival, the Changing Young Lives Gala
Ball, as well as a 13,000-strong crowd at the Asia World Arena. If
you love musicals, but can also see the unintentionally funny side of them,

you all for making ACT’s second round of ImprOlympics another SOLD-OUT
success. Funny bones were indeed broken that night.
In
the second round of the highly popular series, the audience’s choice for the
winning team of this friendly Comedy Improv Battle was, once again, ACT’s own
“Free Hugs” team. Tickets for the third round, where ACT’s Women’s Team will
take on the Men’s Team of TakeOut Comedy. As

ACT Pool Party for Sunday April 20th
2008 has been postponed
Because
of the weather conditions forecast for the coming weekend by the Hong
Kong Observatory, ACT’s Pool Party has been postponed. Another
date will be confirmed soon, so please stay tuned. Keep those swimsuits,
shades and floats handy… we’ll let you know once details are available. We
would love to see you there! In

After ACT’s SOLD-OUT success at ImprOlympics, ACT Team Leader Micha
Sparrow is looking for new recruits to join ACT’s “Free Hugs” team for a second
night of Comedy Improv later this month. Come and try out for a spot to
represent ACT with “Free Hugs” as they take on the “People’s Liberation
Improv” team for another round of ImprOlympics!

returns with a Sold-Out Sensation
Thank
you all for making ACT’s first show a SOLD-OUT success. With
zany antics and unstoppable laughs, the audience’s choice for the winning
team of this friendly Comedy Improv Battle was ACT’s own “Free Hugs” team.
TakeOut Comedy’s hilarious “People’s Liberation Improv” put up a great
challenge and was only one point away from taking home the revered
“PokeMONitor” stuffed-toy trophy. Relive

many know, Hong Kong Singers recently staged the Hong Kong premiere of The Full Monty,
several key players included the majority of the ACT Committee. What many may
not know is the tremendous feat accomplished by young Hamish Campbell, good
friend of ACT and cast member of our 30th Anniversary Musical, Little
Shop Of Horrors. Find out what this young actor did to save

The Year of ImprOlympics!

Starting
off our season is a night of insane behaviour and hilarious situations when
two teams compete in Hong Kong’s first-ever ImprOlympics. Micha Sparrow, Secretary of
ACT will lead a team of Improv Actors in a friendly battle against an
opposing team headed by Jami Gong (TakeOut Comedy) in a hilarious One Night
Stand-Off of Theatre Sports.
